Half-days, class parties and Family Day marked....the last week of school!
The sense of excitement was palpable, felt by students and teachers alike building up to the last day.
Some students had a chance to sell homemade cookies and handcrafted masterpieces at 1MK's Family Day on Thursday. It was a great experience in entrepreneurial training and engaging with the 1MK community.
Before Family Day commenced, the team had a last round of rehearsals before you parents started trickling in. They were busy getting their steps in place and costumes ready.
Students came all out to give their best, dressed in traditional attires to match their performances. The creative compilation of cultural dances included the Filipino Tinikling Bamboo Dance, Kelantanese Dikir Barat and the Chinese Fan Dance, to name a few.
What a joy to watch them get on stage and put on such incredible production. It was a delightful immersion in culture as we swayed and moved to the rhythm of the beats.
Part two was another exciting segment of the Family Day. A tour of the decorated, themed classrooms made possible by you parents. Thank you for contributing the costumes and artefacts showcasing the Philippines, Japan and Malaysia. A feast for the eyes indeed with amazing displays and insightful heritage information.
What a wonderful end to the school year.Enjoy the summer break.
To those who are leaving, we wish you all the best and for the rest, see you on August 9th!
